Seann Alderking
Seann Alderking studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School and at New York’s Juilliard School. In his youth he played regularly at major music festivals across Europe and performed as piano soloist with orchestras in both the UK and the U.S.
His wide-ranging musical interests, combined with a passion for the stage, have drawn him towards opera and musical theatre working internationally as music supervisor, orchestrator and accompanist on shows as diverse as Show Boat, Oliver!, Miss Saigon, Martin Guerre, Napoleon, Hey! Mr. Producer and The Little Prince (BBC TV). He has had a long association with Les Misérables, and currently serves as Music Supervisor for four European Productions of Mamma Mia!
As a performer/arranger, his work ranges from a transcription of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring for four pianos and percussion to the Miss Saigon Rhapsody for Piano and Orchestra, based on themes from the musical. He has performed the Rhapsody with the Bournemouth Symphony (world premiere and CD), BBC Concert Orchestra (Royal Albert Hall), Singapore Symphony and Seattle Symphony.
